WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE WINSTON BATEMAN, SAN ANTONIO TEXAS, PASSED AWAY November 30, 2023
Winston W succumbed to a long-term struggle with illness, and passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 30th, 2023.
Winston had several prestigious careers, from police officer, to small business owner, and was well known and loved by everyone in his community. You could always tell when he had arrived at his favorite McDonalds because the staff made a game of cheering at him.
He was active in the parks services volunteer program for many years after his retirement, and he made an impact every day until he had to focus on his health.
Mr. Winston is now with his wife, brother, and sister, and he was the last remaining member of his family's generation.
No formal services will be held, but his wishes were to have anyone wishing to see him off visit the plaque under his tree in Luling Texas, the place he said always brought him peace.
Additionally, he encourages everyone to read a book outside in his honor, and to love everyone you meet.
