🖤 PETER KANE, SOUTH KINGSTOWN RHODE ISLAND, DIED January 23, 2022
Peter F. Kane passed away in his apartment in Brightview Commons Senior Living in South Kingstown, Rhode Island on January 23, 2022 of advanced stage prostate cancer. Both I and his amazing, wonderful sister Kath, were with my dad when he died.
Jay was also there every day, taking good care of us, so we could take good care of my dad. We held my dad's hand and told him funny stories and we laughed and we cried. There was no doubt that he knew he was loved when he died.
My dad, Peter Kane, had an interesting life and was always the entrepreneur, constantly searching for that big opportunity. This entrepreneurial spirit allowed him to experience a plethora of business opportunities throughout his life.
Peter F. Kane owned and operated a successful pub in Larchmont, NY called P.K.'s Pub, which really was a place where "everyone knows your name." He sold phone cards at the top of the Empire States Building. He sold watches; and at one point I recall him selling sunshields for cars with logos on them. In the final days of Peter Kane's life he sold health insurance for United Health.
