Darla Monaghan: 30 years ago, my mom Linda Bartlett and Lila Miller were friends and co-workers. My mom was passing away and as Lila and I were sitting with her, Lila said to me "she won't go if you are here, you need to leave the room and I will stay with her. Let me do this for her." And she did. I left the room and Lila stayed and held her hand and made her passing peaceful. I left for 10 minutes and just had to go back. Lila was still sitting with my mom and had placed a small bouquet of flowers in her hand. I am forever grateful to Lila for that kindness. She was a true and wonderful friend to my mom and to me. Rest in peace Lila Lee.
