WE ARE REGRETFULL TO ANNOUNCE WINNIE MANN, KAPAʻA HAWAII, DIED October 6, 2021

Winifred 'Winnie' Mann was born on September 27, 1949, to Weldon and Ophelia Groves in Austin, Texas. She was the last of their four children and their only girl.

Winnie attended Mackinac College on Mackinac Island, Michigan, and met Harold Mann. They were later married and had three children.

Winnie Mann loved to travel and lived in many places all over the world. Her father was an officer in the Air Force, and they lived in Japan for a year and a half and four years in France. She had many fun-filled and adventurous trips driving across the country with her husband and children from Seattle, Washington, to the East Coast.

Winnie worked for The University of Washington, and upon retirement, she moved to Kauai, Hawaii. She loved learning Hula and will be missed by her many Hula Sisters. She was always an enthusiastic tour guide for friends and family when they visited.

Singing has always been a passion of hers.

Winnie Mann was preceded in death by her mother, Ophelia Groves, and her father, Weldon Groves Sr. She is survived by her three children, Kenny Mann, Tynisha Safstrom, and Anita Bradstreet; her brothers, Weldon Groves, Jr., Leslie Groves, and Wesley Groves, her grandchildren Jordan Mann-Williams and Chloé Mann and her great-grandson Skyler Mann; along with many loving relatives.
