WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE J. RANDY GALLO, FLORIDA FLORIDA, PASSED ON November 22, 2021

Judy Wagner: My sincere condolences to Karen, Randy Jr, Ross and all of Randy’s family and loved ones. Racing and the world has lost a true Gentle Giant. He had a unique ability to connect with people instantly. I was fortunate to be a recipient of his kindness. In the early years of NHC Randy invited me to his very popular qualifying contest in South Dakota. Although the jury was out on my ability to compete with some of the best contest players, Randy treated me like I was a special player. It was a weekend that Randy’s generous spirit and kindness made me feel special! Every time our paths crossed whether at Saratoga, Kentucky Derby, NHC or anywhere he was always the 'Gentle Giant'. I am so happy I had the opportunity to visit with Randy in August at NHC. Randy’s bigger than life personality and kindness will be missed.

Gina Gallo: My uncle J. Randy Gallo was the most reliable man on the planet. We did the same joke every time we saw each other my whole life and it made us laugh like idiots every single time. He always had our backs and he took care of everyone; he was the glue. I will miss his booming laugh and our dumb jokes and I know he would want me to remind you all that “he never liked me anyway.” It’s still funny and he’s still making me laugh through the tears.
